Kashmir News Network Hopes Indian Home Minister Advani Exposes Pakistan's 'Revolving Door' Policy

Kashmir News Network (KNN) welcomes Indian Home Minister Mr. Lal Krishan Advani on his trip to United States. KNN hopes that Mr. Advani will advise the US officials he meets on the extensive sham that Pakistani dictator Pervez Musharraf is perpetrating in the name of "action against extremists". Arresting a couple of hundred "extremists" in a country that harbors, trains and provides logistics for at least a half a million trained Islamic terrorists is the equivalent of the proverbial drop in an ocean. Pakistan is employing a ‘revolving door’ policy by arresting a few terrorist leaders to cool down tempers and then release them as soon as things seem to cool down. Other steps, such as continuing the activities of terrorist groups under new names or allowing them to empty bank accounts before freezing their funds, points to a concerted effort to perpetuate Pakistan's role in terror. Pakistan has behind the scenes continued its policy of ethnic cleansing through targeted killings of Hindus in Jammu and Kashmir.

Mr. Advani should remind US officials that the Pakistani military has used its disproportionate strength and nuclear arsenal to back up its terrorist and fundamentalist activities around the globe. He should point out to US officials that the current situation provides a golden opportunity to dismantle both Pakistan's military power and its nuclear arsenal, which is likely to sooner or later fall into the hands of the same terrorists that are sponsored by Pakistan's ISI. Mr. Advani should point out that while the entire world, including the US, is under grave threat from Pakistan's terrorist, military and nuclear capabilities, the threat to India is the most imminent, as demonstrated on October 1 and December 13.

Mr. Advani should ask the US to join in operations to commence disarming of Pakistan unless the latter agrees to do it voluntarily. He should make it clear that India will undertake such operations on its own if the US and other western countries persist with double standards and refuse to join in the war against Pakistani terrorism.
