Kashmir News Network (KNN) condemns the brutal dastardly attack on a famous Hindu temple in Jammu in the state of Jammu & Kashmir in India that killed 10 and injured more than 30 innocent Hindu temple goers today. This attack is the latest in a series of attacks on Hindus and Hindu symbols in India by Islamic terrorists, orchestrated by Pakistan, the world’s biggest sponsor of Islamic Terrorism. Gen. Musharraf, hailed as a “US ally against terror”, continues to justify these acts in the name of a false “freedom struggle”.

For far too long, India has shown patience in dealing with Pakistan while the latter continues to use terrorism and insurgency to eat away the nation’s innards. In contrast to the US, which went about systematically demolishing its enemies in Afghanistan since last September 11, India, which has lost tens of thousands to Pakistani terrorism, has allowed Pakistan to continue its jehadi policies.

Pakistan has come to believe that India will never retaliate for the escalating terrorist acts, because of regular Pakistani nuclear threats. Thus, despite Pervez Musharraf’s January 12^th promises to curb Islamic terrorism, he has done nothing. Terror groups under the spotlight have been merged under other groups, which continue to infiltrate into India with Pakistani military aid and kill innocent people. Musharraf has already released more than 1000 Islamic terrorists who were arrested after January 12. He has released Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) chief Maulana Masood Azhar who has been moved to a guest house and is about to release Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) founder Hafiz Mohammad Saeed. The ISI continues to play its dual role, on the one hand claiming to aid the US against terrorism while at the same time harboring Al Qaida and the Taliban, and supporting their incursions into India.

India has no choice but to hit back at the terrorist internationale located in Pakistan with all its might. Only the dismantling of the Pakistani military, its nuclear arsenal, and the ISI will stop the dance of death in Jammu and Kashmir and allow its return to normalcy.
