outraged at Indian Prime Minister Vajpayee's latest peace overtures to
Pakistan In June of last year, Gen. Musharraf lied blatantly and without blinking said "there is no infiltration" and "he will end infiltration permanently". Despite knowing his true face, American mediators Colin Powell and Richard Armitage conveyed the lies to a naive Indian leadership, which promptly took back its threat to destroy Pakistani terrorist camps. The naivete of Vajpayee was on full display when he laid down the conditions for Pakistan to resume talks: just announce that it had ended infiltration and terrorism. Pakistan made the same announcement in June 2002, and can do that again readily, at the most shutting down a few terrorist camps and reducing infiltration levels temporarily. As happened last year, this will keep the jehadi infrastructure very much alive and ready to accelerate on a few weeks notice. Such naive leadership and "statesmanship" has become typical of a Prime Minister whose style is much more suited to that of a romantic poet than to a leader charged with protecting a billion people from jehadi terrorists. This misfit of a leader, who has no comprehension of the mind of the jehadi, has made the jehadi aims of Pakistan much more achievable. The continuation of such an inept
leader as Vajpayee, whose knees buckle under the slightest US pressure,
is inimical to the national security of India. According to reports
today, several BJP leaders are flabbergasted by his statements on
Pakistan, and at least one is considering resigning. KNN calls upon the
BJP to immediately convene a session to select a new leader who can
repair the damage done by a Prime Minister whose sole remaining ambition
is winning the Nobel Peace Prize.
