Kashmir News Network expresses its deepest sorrow for the families of the 17 latest Hindu victims of Pakistani genocide in the state of Jammu and Kashmir. We are equally appalled at the statement by Indian Home Minister L. K. Advani that his ministry is now contemplating a plan to counter terrorism in the state. After all this is the 12th such massacre in the 12th year of the unopposed mayhem perpetrated by Pakistan.

If Mr. Advani is only now considering a plan to deal with the situation, it speaks of the current government as being amateurish to the point of being an impediment to the security and integrity of India. The misconceived and mismanaged Agra summit provided a lucid picture of the NDA leadership's incompetent and weak-kneed response to Pakistan's continued efforts to balkanize India.

We renew our demand that Mr. Vajpayee immediately step down as Prime Minister and hand over control to a leader who has the vision and resolve to defeat Pakistani designs of exporting fundamentalism into India.
